David Saxe, Producer of “V - The Ultimate Variety Show” at the Venetian - “My father, who was diagnosed with ALS in November 2001, died from this devastating disease on November 20th, 2002. The doctor gave the diagnosis, but being that there is no treatment, could offer little else. It seemed like every day my father faced a profound loss, as each of his voluntary muscles progressively became paralyzed. Luckily, we were referred to The ALS Association Nevada Chapter. They came into my father’s home and guided him through the disease process, offering solutions for each of the challenges he faced. Most of all, they showed him the love, respect and care he needed, at the time he needed it most. Please don’t wait until this horrible disease affects someone you love until you play a part. The ALS Association operates solely on donations, so please come see the show and offer your support. Let’s help them, so that they can continue to benefit others, as they did my father.”
