Reynolds is set to costar in Those Old Broads, written by her daughter Carrie Fisher of Star Wars fame. The film, scheduled for a February release, will have Lauren Bacall, Joan Collins, Shirley MacLaine and Elizabeth Taylor as mother Debbie's costars. Trivia buffs will remember that Reynolds first, then Taylor, was married to Eddie Fisher.
With all her successes in films, television, on Broadway in "Irene," and as a recording artist, she derives equal satisfaction as a live performer, working in Las Vegas, Reno, Lake Tahoe, Atlantic City and other major venues worldwide. She wants to be like Jack Benny, George Burns, Jimmy Durante and Sophie Tucker--onstage and performing right to the end.
Reynolds is also a top-notch impressionist. Her Zsa Zsa Gabor and Barbra Streisand carbons are superb satire, comedy classics. Her humor is real and earthy, but always in good fun. She is a consummate communicator.
Sharing an evening with Debbie Reynolds is a very special entertainment experience.
